This powerful documentary follows a filmmaker’s personal journey to understand the true history and meaning of Juneteenth, exploring themes of liberation, perseverance, and spiritual resilience.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s director and former Duncanson Artist-in-Residence, Ya’Ke Smith, offering audiences a deeper look into the storytelling, research, and inspiration behind the film.
