Workshop | Weaver at Play: An Introduction to Frame Loom Weaving with Rowe Schnure

Edie McKee Harper was a modernist of many mediums, ranging from painting to fiber arts and beyond. One way she embraced play was through weaving. An intersection of vertical and horizontal threads, this medium lends itself to the sharp lines and color blocking of her bold, minimalist style. In this workshop with local weaver, Rowe Schnure, you will learn the basics of tapestry weaving and come away with your own woven artwork inspired by Harper's work. 

An optional tour of the exhibition Edie McKee Harper: Modernist at Play will be offered at 12:30 p.m. before the workshop, to gather inspiration and see her fiber art for yourself.
