Enjoy a four-course dining and beverage experience with local food expert and historian, Professor Alan Wight, PhD.  Taste the origins of civilization as you sample cuisines and beverages across cultures, eating and drinking your way through the fascinating history of beer and bread. Learn about the numerous inventions and related discoveries from the fertile crescent to rich Ohio River Valley, with a spotlight on the role that Cincinnati has played in the modern history of beer and bread.

This multi-sensory educational and cultural experience is inspired by Dr. Wight's publication, Cincinnati's Foodshed: An Art Atlas, an illustrated book which uses art, maps, infographics and timelines to bring our past alive, showcase our present, and dream of a bright future.

Program Schedule:

  • 5–6 p.m. | Cocktail Happy Hour
  • 6–8 p.m. | Dining Program

Cocktails during happy hour are not included in registration, but are available for purchase. Beer samples are included in the price of registration for those over the age of 21. This event does not include admission to the collection and exhibition galleries.
